And Died in the Darkness There

Light burns in darkness,
dimly,
dimly.
Time against time.
Hatred rises.
Embers,
the flame shrinks.
Darkness pushes.
The fourth.
Intensity grows,
the animal is out there.
The fifth.
The flame is so small,
I can barely see it.
The sixth.
The flame is gone,
the light extinguished.
The animal is here,
and gone.
Hatred falls,
and dies in the darkness there.
